Research focuses on the ecology and evolution of picocyanobacteria, cyanophage, phage-host interaction, and their ecological roles in the marine environment.

个人简介

徐永乐,山东大学海洋研究院助理研究员。

主要从事海洋蓝细菌、蓝细菌病毒生态和进化、海洋病毒-宿主相互作用及其生态功能相关研究。以海洋蓝细菌及其病毒为研究对象,以分离培养为基础,结合基因组学、蛋白质组学、分子生态学等手段,开展海洋蓝细菌及其病毒的生态学研究,探究海洋蓝细菌及其病毒适应环境的机制及其在海洋碳循环中的作用。目前正在开展的工作主要包括(1)河口近海蓝细菌-病毒相互作用特点及对环境因子的响应;(2)海洋病毒对宿主有机物质的转化。

Yongle Xu works on the ecology and evolution of picocyanobacteria and cyanophage, phage-host interaction and their ecological roles in the marine environment. Research work were carried out by employing cultivation of picocyanobacteria and cyanophage combineded with genomic, proteomic, and molecular ecological analyses to explore the adaption mechanism of picocyanobacteria and cyanophage to the environment and their roles in the marine carbon cycling. The ongoing work include (1) picocyanobacteria-cyanophage interaction and their response to environmental factors in estuarine and coastal environments; (2) transformation of host cell contents by marine phages.
