The Blue Carbon Research Group is guided by the study of carbon migration and transformation process mechanisms in the ocean, relying on the ecosystem level simulation system, focusing on the biogeochemical causes of marine recalcitrant organic carbon, the coupling of omics and chemical composition based on recalcitrant organic carbon, and ocean carbon cycle under global climate change. The research will contribute to low-carbon economy and international influence of China.
The Marine Carbon Research Center has established a long-term cooperative relation-ship with Dalhousie University of Canada and has achieved joint training for graduate stud-ents. At present, five PhD students are cond-ucting an international cooperation experim-ent in Aquatron Tower Tank in Canada.
On December 6, 2016, we participated in the 16th Aoshan Forum "Microbial Oceano-graphy Seminar"organized by the National Laboratory of Marine Sciences. From July 7th to July 13th, 2018, Daixi Liu, Xiao Chen and Ge Xu participated in the Gordon Research Conference-"Biogeochemistry of Marine Inte-rfaces" held in Hong Kong.
