TEAM
Blue Carbon
The Blue Carbon Research Group is guided by the study of carbon migration and transformation process mechanisms in the ocean, relying on the ecosystem level simulation system, focusing on the biogeochemical causes of marine recalcitrant organic carbon, the coupling of omics and chemical composition based on recalcitrant organic carbon, and ocean carbon cycle under global climate change. The research will contribute to low-carbon economy and international influence of China.  [MORE]

Marine Corrosion and Environmental Protection
The marine corrosion and environment protection research group was established by Prof. Guang-zhou Liu, who is the Distinguished Professor of Taishan Scholar. Currently, there are 1 professor, 2 associate research fellows and 12 post-graduate students in the group. The research area includes: 1) the corrosion mechanisms of marine engineering equipment and the anti-corrosion technology; 2) development of new treatment technologies for ship ballast water, marine domestic sewage, and ship exhaust gas; 3) the geochemical environmental behaviors of emerging marine organic pollutants, and the fate and transport of engineered micro-/nanoparticles.  [MORE]
Marine Information Technology
Marine information technology research team mainly studies information technology such as microfluidic chip, marine ship fault diagnosis, marine renewable energy system, marine information network system, integrated monitoring and warning of sky, ground and sea, and desalination, and develops related equipment.  [MORE]
Marine Sensors
The Marine Sensors Research Group develops next generation marine physical, chemical and bio-sensors based on interdisciplinary emerging technologies to meet the grand challenge from the deep-sea exploration. The new types of micro-sensors made of integrated opto-electronic chips have the advantages of small size, low power consumption, high accuracy, long-term stability, with metrology level in-situ calibration.  [MORE]
Marine Geology and Engineering
