The marine corrosion and environment protection research group was established by Prof. Guang-zhou Liu, who is the Distinguished Professor of Taishan Scholar. Currently, there are 1 professor, 2 associate research fellows and 12 post-graduate students in the group. The research area includes: 1) the corrosion mechanisms of marine engineering equipment and the anti-corrosion technology; 2) development of new treatment technologies for ship ballast water, marine domestic sewage, and ship exhaust gas; 3) the geochemical environmental behaviors of emerging marine organic pollutants, and the fate and transport of engineered micro-/nanoparticles.
