Abstract:

Dr. Feifei Liu is an associate research scientist in Institute of Marine Science and Technology, Shandong University. She majored in marine environment and works on marine pollution and control, and environmental geochemistry behaviors of pollutants. In research of environmental behaviors of micro/nanoparticles, Dr. Liu applied natural organic matter (NOM) surrogates to study their interaction with carbon nanotubes from site energy and distribution perspective, and revealed the interaction mechanisms through thermodynamic parameters; systematically investigated the interaction between graphene and pharmaceuticals and personal care products (PPCPs) under various aqueous chemistry conditions, and the innovative results have been published on Environmental Science and Technology, the top journal in environmental science; studied the interaction of between microplastics and typical organic pollutants in coastal areas, and deeply investigated the joint toxicity of microplastics and other environmental contaminants to marine microalgae. Dr. Liu has published ten SCI-indexed papers on peer-review journal and she is currently the principal investigator of five research projects, which are supported by National Natural Science Foundation of China, Chinese Postdoctoral Science Foundation, and Shandong University.
