宫先哲，男，现为山东大学海洋研究院副教授。曾长期留学于沙特阿拉伯、丹麦与美国，主要从事海洋微生物生态学研究，以第一或通讯作者（含共同）在Nature Communications，Water Research等国际主流杂志发表SCI论文十余篇。

Abstract:
Dr. Xianzhe Gong currently is an Assistant Professor in Institute of Marine Science and Technology, Shandong University. He has been studied overseas for a long period in Saudi Arabia, Denmark and US. His research focuses on marine microbial ecology. He has published over 10 peer-reviewed papers as the first or corresponding author in top journals, such as Nature Communications, Water Research, etc.

研究方向：
通过分子生物学及高通量测序技术如16S扩增子测序、宏基因组测序技术等研究海洋低氧环境微型生物生理生态；海洋沉积物生态多样性及有机碳代谢途径；新型细菌及古菌代谢途径发掘。
Research Interests:
We are using tools of molecular biology and next-generation sequencing, e.g., 16S amplicon sequencing and metagenomics to study: marine microbial physiology and ecology under low oxygen condition; microbial ecology and the metabolic pathways of the organic carbon in marine sediments; and new metabolic pathways in novel bacteria and archaea.
